Carol Farrar

Carol Farrar is an acclaimed harpist residing in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. She discovered the harp later in life after being inspired by famed Canadian harpist Loreena McKennitt. Her harp career quickly took off, and to date she has performed at over 1000 weddings, as well as many and varied types of events.

  • Two-time winner of the Knowne World Harp Competition in Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Weddings

Carol has performed at over 1000 weddings during her career as a harpist. The harp offers and elegant and memorable touch to your wedding day. Timing is very important in a wedding ceremony! A live musician is essential to avoiding those silent awkward gaps that will happen when recorded music is used during your wedding ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony

  • Includes travel, preparation and set-up
  • Harp music approximately 10 minutes prior to start time
  • During the Processional {Pachelbel’s Canon}
  • During the Rose, Sand or Wine ceremony if there is one
  • During the Signing of the Register
  • The Recessional at the end of the ceremony.

Pre-dinner Reception

  • The harp is an elegant way to entertain your guests between the ceremony and dinner during cocktails, receiving line or while photos are taken
  • A flat rate of up to 1.5 hours
